fm4 frequency festival 2010

3 days packed with loads of sun, bathing in the traisen, sipping cool beer, using tons of suncream and dancing to numerous fantastic bands!

Can't name what I enjoyed the most, though I try to go through the performances that impressed me the most. Probably one of the best where The Drums on day 1. Superenergetic show, great performance, first band that made me dance and forget everything around me, thanks.
Or Get Well Soon? Konstantin Groppers beautiful music almot made me burst into tears. But Mumford and Sons? Also amazing, though (I can't tell what it was) someting was missing, they didn't convince me. Or my all-time-favs Shout Out Louds? But what a pity they didn't play at night and at green stage. The atmosphere on frequency fest 2007 where they played as pre-last act at green stage was times better! La Roux was surprisingly great live as well!

day 2 started with portugal.the man, I can't help, I love their music when it's played live even a 100 times more than on the record, very interesting musicians. One of the best acts was Delphic, they played the right music at the right time, late-afternoon-sky, flying - not dancing - flying!

We are Scientists where probably the most talkative act I've seen on the festival, at least the most talkative english-speaking band. Very energetic set!
But the nuts in the chocolate-cake, the extra-bit of taste, the missing ingredient that completes the masterpiece where Tocotronic on this day. The charmingly nice announcements of dirk during the songs, the mix between new and old material, the atmosphere, the crowd that was totally with the band, everything put together made it a perfect concert! Walking home to the tent with a constant smile on my face. the only thing that could have been improved was the sound, too quiet!

day 3 started with Bilderbuch on race stage. wow, the huge stage somehow suits them quite well!
the last day seemed actually rather unexciting but turned out to hold it's surprises for me!
Element of Crime was one of the most beautiful concerts in these 3 days. The way sven regener writes and sings about love is untouchably wonderful. But it kinda depresses me.
FM Belfast though managed to save the night and cheered me up! Constant dancing and smiling during their performance, wonderful band. They new how to make you dance to your limits! So grace to FM Belfast that I didn't miss Deadmau5 at the nightpark! Absolutely amazing dj set! I'm running out of words to express my feelings so I better quit now. Too much musical impressions, it'll take me ages to get over this high dose of great music, injected right into my heart haha.

Wonderful, intense festival!

no pictures of the festival because I shot with an old Nikon F-501 - excited how the pictures turn out to look like :)

getting lost

I like attics.

full of stuff which is ready to be thrown away but somehow will never be thrown away. the owner keeps it in the hope of finding it useful one day in future. dusty. dust all over everything. spidernets. and this mysterious atmosphere that makes you feel like entering a world beyond the present. a world where time has no value.

andreas spechtl in aktion. marathon.
